  1. I say the Phlogistinator is not overpower, now before you come at me with your torches and pitchforks, hear me out. The reason I say this is because the pyro is now weak to literally every class in the game. With the normal flame thrower and degreaser, the pyro gains the ability to not only throw flames but to use explosives if used correctly. The ability to use a soldiers/demomans/medics/snipers/pyros/scouts own weapon against them is a feature not to be taken lightly. However, most pyros do not know how to reflect many of the classes weapons back at them in the first place other than the soldiers, so I will let a pass on that. But the Phlog takes all those powers and throws them out the window saying a big goodbye to them. On another point, even without a team and with a pocket medic Shebby (No Offense) a phlog pyro is still extremely vulnerable to everything. This type of pyro can no longer counter its greatest weakness, soldier and demo, and leaves the player basically a sitting duck. However, I think the Phlog is now useless, especially since the Backburner does the exact same thing, but can crit CONSTANTLY if hit from behind AND still has airblast, though at an increased cost. The Backburner is basically better in every way and doesn't require you to sit there for 3 seconds just to get blown up for trying to get crits. This is just my opinion though.
  2. I would have to say the answer is simple, though not decisive between many answers leading to the same outcome. It could be that someone is going through a rough patch and they want to make themselves feel high and mighty by making someones day, it could be that they have enough money as it is and want to make people feel the same enjoyment from what they can no longer feel joy of having, and there are many more answers. However, all of which lead to the same outcome and the same ending, just being a nice person!
  3. Personally, I believe the Pyro Update will have some extravagant additions but the question is, will they be good? Maps: Probably none, at least probably not any good ones Weapons: Probably mainly fixes but I see some new Flame Throwers and Secondaries being added to the mix to break the Degrare combo. Hats: Probably the most abundant of whats going to come, I can see upwards of 10 hats being added. As for what, not sure Other: Probably some overall fixes and updates to the Pyro himself, maybe an HP increase to make him more of a forward attacked than an ambush class or maybe increasing his movement speed so he can close distance better. What ever it is, Pyro needs to be more certain of his role, not a Below Average Attack/Support/Defense class. I would like to see the pyro become what it was meant to be, a forward attacked that can deal good damage but also survive some hot situations, all while being the furthest into the front lines. I would especially like to see the Airblast and Fire Particle mechanics fixed, fire doesn't know what the hell it is doing half the time and airblast doesn't have a decisive hitbox that can be observed well.
