  1. Nope. Anyone can use the ScrapTF | or #scrap.tf tags, it's just that it was popularised by the staff and very commonly adopted by active community members (That is, the main community. The raffles community is weird and confusing and I don't understand it.). Also not all staff are admins
  2. (Note, hyperboles detected in this sector. Advance with caution.)
  3. They're not. Ref price is going down, meaning it's worth less per key. It's like the Pound and the Dollar: Historically the Pound has been very strong (and is one of the strongest currencies still), but over time it's been getting worth less and less compared to the Dollar. A few years ago, $1 was worth £0.60, now it's worth £0.70 (approximations). Now move that over to TF2 currencies: The Key is locked to a USD price, while Ref isn't. Ref used to be 2:1 (approx), but since Ref is so abundant and Keys aren't (comparatively), Ref is becoming worth less and less.
  4. Doubt it, considering the fact that 95% of them are worthless. And 0.01% are worth like 50 keys. And nobody wants any of them.
  5. Trade it for something worth more than itself, then sell that for pure (in this case being another key and some metal, or multiple keys) then repeat the cycle. Just don't unbox with it, sell it for metal or sell it for something you can't re-sell quickly.
  6. Before higher-priced items got a special price, people would occasionally accidentally/generously sell hats to the bots for ~1.33. People would then 'snipe' them (camping the bots until they found something to resell for a small profit) or come across them in a streak of luck. Unusuals get a purple outline and Genuines get a green outline - just as Stranges get an orange, Collectors' get red, Vintages get blue etc.
  7. It'd imply that you were a part of scrap.tf's main community (the chatroom, rather than the raffles community). And they do it because the server tells them to in order to get entries for prize draws (or other bribes), or they just like the community and want to show support.
  8. I'd hardly call an increase in price of £0.02 ($0.03 or so) 'costly', but it'll likely be that the price is calculated automatically based upon current stock levels and the item's value. Best bet is to wait and watch the price fluctuations so you can strike while it's the lowest and maximise your value-for-money.

    a senario

Well since surviving there is a given, I'd be fine. Also the fact I live right now means that things would be pretty similar - XCOM:EU is set to start in March 2015 anyway.
  10. The user above had his name scrawled out and "Ten of Herts" written on. People should learn how to lok after their decks. And how to spell "Hearts".
  11. The only people that can empty the bots are the owners, and most of the time they don't do it since they're busy and emptying it would mean that it will just fill up all over again. The best thing to do, at least for us, is to wait a while until the price manager fixes the prices and then remove the excess items. That way whatever pricing issues that were causing people to fill the bot so much are removed and the bot is one step closer to a closed-system equilibrium. I understand that it is aggravating to be wanting to buy/sell KS kits and not be able to because the bot is full, but just constantly removing excess items is not a solution - it's like trying to make an ammonia equilibrium but leaving the cap off. It will shore up the equilibrium so it look correct in the short term, but lead to bigger issues down the road. The idea is that all banking types should be a proper equilibrium, with there being a constant in and out of its items, never full reaching capacity.
  12. What? No, really. What? You've been waiting for an unspecified game to be added to the game banking section, which is only a few months old, for 2.5 years? If there's none there, then it means that nobody's sold any of that game to the bots. That can either be because nobody wants to or because the game isn't accepted right now. If it's not accepted, ask Geel to consider adding it, rather than making a thread in a passive-aggressive tone and not even mentioning what the game is. Either way, there's nothing for anybody to fix, since nothing is broken. There's either no problem on our end at all and nobody has any they want to sell to us, or the game isn't accepted yet because it's not in enough demand or the price hasn't been set yet.
  13. Clicking 'Buy' scrolls you down to bot selection, of which there is only one. Your browser might not be allowing the jquery (not 100% on if it is jquery, but it looks like a jquery thing) to function for whatever reason, or it might be that the site is seeing you as already being scrolled to the correct point. Anyway, just click on a bot's icon to see its inventory and get ot the next step.
  14. Granted, you get Thisguy_, but you can only speak to him once every 10 years. I wish for this thread to follow its own rules >:l
  15. Granted, but it's identical to mine and people will forever make comments about your unoriginality. I wish for Sectoid corpses.
  16. Granted, it's a faulty PSU and nothing else is wrong with it. (You have to repair it, not just buy a new PSU) I wish for nuts.
  17. Buy keys. Ref is constantly losing value, keys aren't.
  18. I mentioned when it was introduced that "terminate" was a funny work to use, since it implied that Geel would come to our house with a shaved head, black suit, red tie and silenced pistols.
  19. Granted, but it's Barkley Pie's. Also it's second hand. I wish for Gold.
  20. You answered no questions and raised many: What point are you trying to make? What point were you trying to address/counter? What is a dolar?
