The Pyro Update 2.0

What to expect

 

1. A significant nerf to all flamethrowers, fixing the way ping can effect the range of flamethrowers.

2. New weapons, not just for the pyro, but weapons that can counter him more better.

3. A broken update. Valve is extremely understaffed in the TF department, but they are trying, DO NOT PANIC when it eventually does get revealed as broken.

4. A new issue of the TF Comic!

5. 2-3 New maps and or possibly a gamemode/new MvM map? Nobody knows.

6. More cosmetic and weapon cases....

7. New taunts, probably.

8. New weapons to support engineers (Possibly)

9. Buffs/Nerfs to pyro weapons to support competitive playstyles.

10. Flamethrowers will be fixed to not use Flame View Particles, which is extremely broken and why W+M1 is so effective.

11. Airblasting will be fixed due to airblasting being broken when teammates are near

12. Changes to the pyro viewmodel completely

13. Airblasting range will be fixed hopefully

14. Fixes to the way liquids interact with fire

2. Only the Pyro will be receiving weapons. Expect them to either be UP or OP.

3. Apparently, from multiple people who visited Valve, the TF team has at least 20 people. Which begs the question of why updates are so broken in the first place.

6. Definitely. Tiered and behind a ticket paywall as well.

9. Please yes.

11. Already half-fixed in one of the previous updates. [It was projectiles going off weird when multiple enemies are around]

12. Why would they do this? There's no reason.

14. Valve creates way to make obsidian so you can build a portal to go to hell from any map!

2. Completely unconfirmed, and yes one of the two.

3. at least 20 people who have at one point worked on the project. The current TF Team is about 2-5 people along with the recently hired Community Manager.

12. Pyro viewmodels are more clunky and more in your face then the other classes unlike heavy where it is suppose to be like that, as Valve acknowledged this from the day pyro won the MyM War.

14. This means fixes to the way afterburn and continuous M1 interacts with the way mad milk gives you health on hit and other shit.

2. Actually, it's confirmed in this post, where it says CLASS pack.

3. If it's only 2 to 5 people then this game should be dead by now lol

14. Please make afterburn do more damage so it's scary again.

2. "Team Pyro has fried, burnt and scorched its way through a smoldering mountain of enemies and into a brand new class pack, featuring new weapons, new cosmetics and rebalances, to be shipped in a future update" Nowhere does it say its a pyro only exclusive class pack. Keep in mind pyro has a secondary slot for shotguns, shotguns are usually shared by the 3 other classes.

3. It's confirmed that there's only around 2 developers out of the 20 that have worked on it since it came out. A more realistic number would be about 6-9 (lenny face)

I hope they change how airblast works to make it slightly more consistent. As of now the "hitbox" for it is weird.

Seriously, after watching this I can't help but feel like I've missed airblasts that should have worked just fine. I don't know if this is because of lag compensation or the lack there of, but I think it needs to be changed.
