What's up with the Steam API?

I've been wanting to scrap and autobuy so i get all items for like a week but i've never seen the Steam API up and running, what's happening?

I just tried it now and got it to work 

And I believe why autobuy isn't working for you is because autobuy only accepts metal, not items, and since you have no metal it can't work, so it looks like your just going to have to look for weapons you don't have then use items you don't want to trade for it I guess

Alright cool, i know that i don't have any scrap, that's why i'm trying to use the AutoScrap first, weird that it works for you but not for me :/

I haven't been able to sell any weapons for several months now because my inventory hasn't been updated on scrap.tf since, it's getting pretty ridiculous

Damn that sucks :/ i don't get how or why the API is down since i can't find any information about it anywhere, no one is talking about it..

The only other thing I could find about it was backpack.tf having the same problem. Apparently it's a rate limit for 3rd parties so that's why everything seems fine on Steam while external sites are struggling to access the API.
