Secret Santa precidents?

I want to participate in the secret Santa event, and I know it says that the minimum required value is 1 refined, but I want to know something. Do people tend to give more than that? or does everybody just give a 1 refined hat and hope somebody gives them more, because I'm not very rich and I don't want to make the person I get feel bad, and vice versa if I give 6 refined and get 2 from my guy. How valuable is the stuff people tend to give?

I’ve been through 1 secret Santa and I’m pretty sure most people (including me) will only give a couple ref and that’s it

Depends, each people has their budget, some people give a random hat, some give about a key and some give unusuals, most will tend to the lower values, but each on their own

Does gift wrapping or name/desc tags affect the site's price evaluation of submitted items?
