Issues with Linux

Recommended Posts

So I recently upgraded from 32-bit Ubuntu to 64-bit, and now Steam won't install. It apparently requires 32-bit libraries, which are completely incompatible with my 64-bit OS.

I've tried every fix out there, but it still doesn't work. At all... Has anybody here had a successful install on 64-bit Ubuntu? If so, what wizardry did you do for it to work?

Kind of freaking out, because this is my Gaming computer that I'm trying to install it on. If nothing else works, I'll just have to use Steam on my craptop.

Tried to install steam on my old server just as a test of it's power capabilities. But just like every other program I tried to put on there, PowerPC wasn't supported and required a Intel or AMD architecture to install. I gave up with Linux on that thing eventually because it was too unstable for the hardware it was on.
