Does buying an extra entry to the holiday raffle do anything?

At this point I'm wondering if it does anything, i can't really see and indication that it does.

 

I searched the forums for this topic and did not find one, removal not necessary.

Anyway the general concensus is that it does have an effect, but that the winning chance visible on raffle pages doesnt take it into account.
