Prof. SplendorFaction Posted March 16, 2016 Report Share Posted March 16, 2016 I think it is absolute garbage that people can reserve items that you have selected before you can go to buy them. I have had this happen to me more times than i can count it is supremely unfair that this website allows this. it should be who ever selects something is the person who "reserves" said item no who ever clicks it and then goes to buy. This is just a topic that i thought should be brought up even though Im sure the admins and mods will probably take this down because it would devalue the credibility of the site. this seriously needs to be remedied. I am sure i am not the only one facing this problem. i for one am sick of having items "stolen" from me. Link to comment

Its all about who can click on it first and who can click on "Pay rest with keys or metals" or "Select Items from your backpack as payment" before anyone else does and is sent into the queue. I think its because what if someone just went and clicked on all of the items they could yet never intended to purchase any of them and then just waited making other people frustrated because said person above abused the system. The system punish the slow and indecisive, its still an amazing and effective method. As it says on the Help Page "When an item is reserved it means that someone else went to the bot's backpack, picked the item and now is in the queue (he's waiting to buy/get it from the bot). This is done so other people aren't able to accidentally steal other user's items. No, you can't reserve any by yourself. Items get automatically reserved as soon as you get in the queue for that item." Its all about speed and rush to get certain popular items on this site if they're in stock (Ex. Just about anything in the incinerator or Painted Hats in the Hat Bots). For example this works wonderfully for bots as it gets those items to the people who want it on the spot instead of those taking longer and deciding if they want it or not. If someone wants it and they can get it before everyone else, they can get it if they so please to. There is no such thing as a perfect system but this one still works and is quite amazing. Just be glad its almost automatic. Most other trading sites deal with other people instead of bots and they are also more likely to respond to those who send their offer first. Link to comment
Prof. SplendorFaction Posted March 28, 2016 Author Report Share Posted March 28, 2016 Well now i have been robbed by the system. i had RESERVED a scoot suit and a sengu scorcher and when it showed the will receive and will loose screen it showed both items but when i got to the trade in steam it only showed the sengu scorcher. someone was able to rob me AFTER i had reserved it. IV Posted April 10, 2016 Report Share Posted April 10, 2016 It doesn't show us that the system is broken, it just shows that you've had a bad experience with it. The suggestion you mentioned above wouldn't really fix the issue you stated and users would take advantage of this feature; as said by Project Synthesis. If it's bothering you that much, there are plenty of other sites which allow you to trade for the items you want. Link to comment
