Why I always limit the maximum amount of enterers to 250

Whenever i start a raffle, i always limit myself to only allow 250 enterers in or less. It's a bit of a tradeoff, as you have to be quick to enter but you have a higher chance of winning. I think it's ok, as i'm sure some people want their entered raffles to be shorter. Does anyone else find themselves using this mindset?
