As far as I can tell, this is an issue with the Steam API being finnicky. Just try it again and it should work. If it keeps happening consistently, double check that you are: 1) Premium (aka not-f2p) 2) profile set to public 3) steam servers are functioning (it is not unheard of for these to be down)

1) Make sure your phone/whatever has internet connectivity 2) Try going through the app without touching the notifications bar you get at the top. I personally have found the alerting notifications to be buggy and not allow confirming. Launch steam mobile app, click 3 lines, and click Confirmations. Notifications won't even show you what you need here by the way. If the second bit seems unclear, let me know and I'll try to help.
