Secret Santa gifter not responding

So I just got into this whole Secret Santa thing, and I am already concerned. I have gifted a Silver strange botkiller medigun mk. II, (yes, I am aware it is not worth very much) and I am concerned that my gifter is completely broke. not that I am greedy, but they have no special items or anything. I was really hoping for a item worth at least somewhat close to the value of the medigun. 

 

Also, my recipient and gifter are completely unresponsive to chat messages, which makes me think they signed up and forgot about it

Looks like I ain't getting anything for Christmas

 

Is there anything I can do? different gifter maybe? Any help is appreciated
