Scrap.tf Recognition (new badges and emotes)

Recommended Posts

Just an opinion I have recently developed and thought I would share. I think its great that Fury and Dima got fancy badges and their own emote and I am really happy for them, however I am slightly unsettled as they are neither the most tipped raffler nor have made the most raffles. There are users such as squib and Anthelion who have donated hundreds of dollars worth of items and they seem to have received no recognition for that. I am not sure if they need to approve before a badge is placed on their profile but neither have anything there while Dima and Fury both have the new badge despite them not being (no offence intended) nearly as generous as some others. I understand they are a big part of the family of scrap.tf but I think you also need to recognise the people who have put so much into this raffling system. I hope I haven't annoyed you by putting it here, but I feel as though something needs to be said. Once again, to clarify, I am extremely happy for both Dima and Fury and they are definitely deserved of it but I think there are many others who also deserve some form of recognition. Would love to hear your thoughts on it.

Cheers  :D

I would say being the 4th and 5th place for most raffles makes you eligible for having an emote.

Auroz made the most, and he has one.

Nothing against Auroz, once again, super happy for him. However, anyone used to be able to make heaps of raffles with small prizes. The main thing that annoys me is the badge description "This user is one of the most generous of scrap.tf". I am not saying that Auroz or Dima or Fury are not worthy of these badges but I am saying that there are still users such as Squib and Anthelion (as examples) who, like I said before, have been extremely generous in what they have raffled. Getting both tips:raffles made ratios of about 6.7:1 respectively. As I said above, I have nothing against Auroz but I am using them as an example because they are top on the list of raffles created, and they only have a ratio of 5.2:1. I personally believe that the ratio is a much better indication of how generous a user is. I can't stress it enough, I mean no offence to any of the users mentioned and I have only used them because most of the community knows them and they are on top of the leaderboards.

Cheers

Something I want to say about emotes. A ton of users got their own emote even if they aren't entirely recognized, if you wanted to get your own emoticon, check in the suggestions for the emoticon thread.

Currently it's locked, but bookmark it and make sure to check back every now and then to see if it'll ever be unlocked.

Another thing I'd like to add is the fact that they are generous, and if they weren't, they wouldn't even have the badge. Surely I wouldn't mind giving other generous users recognition but I do not control such a thing.

There is one badge for each "top rafflers" list. They are given to the top 5 on each, so it's completely fair for the people who have the "generosity" badge to have the "generosity" badge.

I have suggested ideas for special badges given to chosen people, but they werent accepted.
