I don`t think that`s a good idea. Have you seen the amount of people who do auctions? No one. Why? Its cheaper to trade with Scrap TF or someone else for it!

do you remember all the spam there was when auctions were first made public? That would probably happen again if auctions are released again now. Some bugs still need to be worked out (probably, I ain't no dev), so when it's ready it'll be released. Or scrapped. Or kept donators only. Who knows.

First of all Geel needs to come up with the most "popular" bot issues that are persistent for a long time already. Since they generally aren't any issue for normal trades (there are random and specific circumstances when the bots simply "forget" about a trade), but are very problematic when it comes to something where we need to keep track of an users items. Additionally, the most basic problems are still only solved by my "duct-tape" fixes, afaik Geel hasnt continued work on improving the bots for a while, since he seems to have found other interesting ideas/projects and refuses to reply to any questions regarding what to do with auctions. (Remember, it was his idea, other devs helped on the web/frontend but we cannot change the bots itself, and finally geel pushed the unfinished product to the public.)

You cannot possibly know that all bugs are fixed. Only Geel knows all the known bugs and only Geel is in charge of whether Auctions become public.

Judging from his current level of investment in them, they're more likely to be removed or left in beta indefinitely than to hjave whatever bugs are left.

Additionally, Auctions are very rarely used properly, instead they are used to ask for more than an item's actual price in the hopes someone will blindly bid, or putting the reserve at the item's price to make it nothing but an automatic buy function. These two glaring issues will almost require being fixed before Auctions can come out of beta.
