  1. It's IPS 4.2, which is what bp.tf has been running for a few weeks. Finally updated this to it too.
  2. That's really weird. It should look like this, and it does for me:
  3. Well in 2012 I started working on a project to make my own trading bot. Back then There were a few around that only did scrap banking and there was little to no public information on how they worked and interfaced with Steam trading. Here's a video on my progress: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h79q8-tt_64 And after a few weeks I was able to finish a basic version of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9kKxLPjlxQ This was the start of the SteamBot project: https://github.com/Jessecar96/SteamBot which was the first open source steam trading bot. After the initial start I had almost no involvement in the SteamBot repo. At first I had no idea what to do with it so it sat for months until Geel came across it and made a scrap banking bot with it and posted it on Facepunch. After that we got together and decided to make a website for scrap banking to make it easier for everyone to trade with the bot, and to pick what weapons you wanted back. This is what the site looked like originally: https://feen.us/dp7t.png And after that we just kept expanding and improving until we got here today. Here's some more history on how scrap.tf grew: https://scrap.tf/fivehundredthousand

  8. You'll have to ask Geel that because I don't know either. And it's not about profit. Raffles don't make anything either and I enjoy keeping them up to date and running well.

  11. I don't really understand this argument. We had a long discussion with him in his ban appeal and he clearly did not show any intention to stop the spam and follow the rules. We can't just add people on steam or other means before banning them, that's just not professional and we don't have a record of what was said there. This is what ban appeals are for. To discuss the validity of the ban in private and have a record of everything that was said.
  12. You can't just make an exception to the rules for one person. Rule #3 states "No spamming or posting trades. This includes posting the same thing multiple times, referral links, or trade listings." which is exactly what incinerate and then a few others were doing. Also ironic to see people wanting us to make this exception, and then others claiming we're biased in not punishing some users.
  13. Backpack.tf has an API where we can get bans, but that's not a good idea to carry those over to here since they could be banned for reasons other than scamming. Outpost doesn't have any APIs at all. Steamrep's API is the only easy way to get data to see if someone is a scammer or not.
  14. Dec 5th: Fixed missing bot types on the about page. Snow performance improvements thanks to Jim. Dec 19th: Fixed broken auction searches page. Improved profile design! Removed staff member's avatar from site announcements when on mobile. Improvements to the auctions history pages.
  15. Yeah I keep forgetting this... Oct 3rd: Puzzle raffle creation overhaul. Raffle type selection overhaul. Improved inventory loading. Oct 6th: Improvements to auction's top bidder display. Fixed navbar on tablets. Oct 11th: Added auction rules. Oct 13th: Increased auction bid limit to 200 items. Nov 15th: Backend improvements to speed up raffle loading, and the reliability of live comments. Nov 19th: Added AutoSell hats. Nov 28th: Reduced minimum comment length to 2 characters. Added auction bids item blacklist. Changed auctions list to a two column layout. Added separate profile stats for private, public, and puzzle raffles entered. Fixed item banking price list being missing sometimes.
  16. We're currently not accepting community provided translations, but we may sometime in the future.
  17. Sept 8th: Improvements to meta tags and page titles. Help center articles are now titled with their article names. Sept 23rd: Removed profile links and usernames from the queue.
  18. Sept 1st: Added a minimum run length of 1 hour to puzzle raffles. Fixed entered message not showing after a raffle ends. Fixed inconsistent max lengths when editing raffles. Fixed private raffles not showing times over 1 day when editing. Fixed inconstant wording of max avatar file size. Made "unknown ajax error" more detailed. Fixed editing raffles escaping characters twice. Fixed schema breaking. Fixed editing steam group raffles. Removed showing the group id as a password on steam group raffles.
  19. You're probably using some auto-trade accepting thing which is putting too much load on valve's servers. Refreshing the trade offer page constantly is a bad idea and bad for everyone else, putting too much load on Steam's servers. We don't "get around" this because we use steam client APIs to tell when we get a trade offer.
  20. There's a few like these, but that's gotta be the most direct one.
  21. Aug 17th: Users will now get a notification to read their ban appeal's reply when the ban is lifted. Removed pyro v heavy stats. Trimmed raffle passwords (remove trailing spaces) Updated internal packages, etc.
