Keys are rising because they're limited by the fact they're only obtained through real-money transactions with Valve, whereas Metal is infinitely generated. It's not that keys are rising - looking from a £/€/$ standpoint they're completely static, it's that Metal is becoming devaluated by the amount there is, it's lack of demand and the fact it's constantly streaming in so much.

Stock. Until you're very familiar with the game, Stock is the best choice. It keeps the mechanics very simple, and is the basis for most other weapons' stats and derivations. There are, for the most part, no 'upgrades' or 'downgrades' - the stock weapons are the most widely-useful, but will lose out in certain scenarios compared to other weapons. This is good, as it means that the other weapons are sidegrades, situationally better but overall equal to Stock weapons (for the most part). Once you're comfortable wit the gameplay of the stock classes, you can move onto trying out different weapons, then trying out different combinations. Also, you won't really find any "pros" here, this is the scrap.tf forum, so most users are scrap.tf users, of which people who play the game for money are unlikely to be a part.

This forum is for scrap.tf discussion, not marketplace.tf (Marketplace has it's own support section just for that, seriously, use it). Even if this were for marketplace discussion/support, you'd have posted in the wrong subforum. So yeah... Locked.

That's not the item's price you're being shown. It's what the bot will pay for it. It's the user's responsibility to be aware of an item's value, and to apply that awareness to decide whether the price you are given by the bots is acceptable or not. As for the original post, only Geel can tell you why he changes the prices as he does. He also doesn't use these forums, so good luck getting him to reply here.

This made me giggle. I have no idea if you made alts to inflate the number of adds or not, but either way it's ridiculous to the point of humour.

I didn't claim they were forgotten, I said that to the extent of my knowledge they are for bugtesting purposes. The testing could involve moving around the metal, I don't know. I doubt it is the bot filtering out pure metal, though as the amount of metal present would just be growing in that case - none of the Devs are going to be bothered about a few scrap enough to keep checking the bots and taking it all out, they would just leave it until it reached a more sizeable amount, which is not happening, and so I'm assuming that's not the case. For a concrete answer you'd have to directly ask a Dev, and even then they might not know precisely what's happening, as it's not guaranteed to be them that made the specific bot.

There is none, to the extent of my knowledge, it's just that there (and may still be) some Reclaimed and Scrap Metals in the bot, presumably for bugtesting purposes, which was hidden, but would still show up as items. This meant that in the item count they showed up, and sometimes the bot would show as completely empty but nto show an error saying that it was empty, as it had items, they were just being hidden.

At least I can still build for dodge and damage with pistols. In fact, they've buffed the already-OP combination even further, with the only loss being that I now have to choose whether to be massively OP but less effective at stealth or just regular, pre-Hoxton OP. Grats, OVERKILL, you made something OP that wasn't put in by paid DLC. Instead it was free DLC.

As far as I can tell you have to join a fresh server each time. I personally accidentally left the PC on and in one of the h'we'en farming servers, so I was idle there for approximately 20 hours. That appears to be the only reason I didn't get any H'we'en gifts I can see.

I'm not sure who or what comes up with the #Stranges prices, it may be the same guy that handles the #Items prices, it may be Geel, or it may be some automated program. I can't say for certain, but before it was added I recall Geel mentioning something to do with the SCM in relation to #Stranges prices, so it could be that it's calculated off that (as opposed to bible.tf, which just goes off what people want it to be), or it may be completely off the top of someone's head.

We have a Price Manager for the #Items bots. Nobody but him can answer as to why the changes are, exactly, and he doesn't use these forums. If you believe a price to be too high or too low, simply don't buy/sell the item and wait until the Price Manager changes them, as it may change in your favour. Regarding the #Hats section, the prices there are automatically changed based on the stock of hats or metal each specific bot has (so one may pay less or charge more than another at a specific time). It can also be changed by the owners, usually when there is a big increase in hats desired (such as when new costmetics come out, as people will buy hats to craft the new hats for profit).

No, just shoot Geel in the head with a Thanatos a few times. He's really easy to get down once you get the hang of it and have paid GeelCorp for the appropriate DLCs.
